Orvis clearwater Rod/Reel outfits are probably the best full outfits on the market for the money. Each rod is designed with a purpose-built profile and action to handle the fishing the rod would be traditionally used for, from medium-action small stream rods to medium-fast freshwater rods and fast-action big game rods. Orvis’s industry leading warranty comes with all the clearwater rods. If you break a section, Orvis will mail you a replacement section. meaning that you don’t ever have to send the rod back. At most you are only down for as long as it takes to get a new section in the mail, often 3-5 business days.
Clearwater rods are the staple of our 30 plus member guide staff as they are the most versatile rods in our fleet. many of our staff fish their Clearwater’s as much as they do their Recons or H3’s just for that reason. The clearwater is a entry level rod that fishes like it’s higher end counterparts.
The Outfit includes the Clearwater 2 or Clearwater 4 Reel. A large arbor reel with an enclosed disc drag system that can withstand just about any fish your chasing.
