The Fishpond Thunderhead Submersible Lumbar is an ideal backpack that will last a decade or more. This backpack is 100% waterproof thanks to the extremely resistant CyclePond nylon. With the waterproof zipper, water will not get into the bag while fishing.
The hip straps are larger than average and made from lightweight foam for added comfort and also has additional mesh pockets in the back wall.
The detachable shoulder strap has additional connections for tools and gear. In the main compartment you will find several small pockets and organizers with zippers. On the outside, the Hypalon loop and flap provide for additional equipment.
The main bag measures approximately 10 liters (610 cu in) and measures approximately 13.5″ x 9″ x 5″. Guide, stroke and weight indicators. It has a slim internal clear front pocket and a zippered accessory pocket.
The fishpond submersible lumbar pack has an outside pocket for storing small items. On the outside of the backpack are four sturdy attachment points for common items such as tippet holders or tweezers.
You can secure your net with a carabiner or clip. Fishpond included a built-in network slot in the middle of the pack. To use it, simply slide the loop of the mesh over the top of your sleeve, with the mesh side facing your back. Depending on your fly-fishing net choice and its size, this works well.
