  • TFO Axiom 2-X Rod 4-P Blue W/Case

    $429.95

Whether you choose a perch for bass, bonefish, rainbow trout or salmon, the Axiom II has a lot to offer you while fly fishing. The handle not only looks elegant, but also has a number of features that are particularly function-oriented. One of these features is the composite butt stock for durability.

This combat butt will stand up to wear and tear and help you out when playing with the big fish. There is a well-padded handle made of high quality cork that fits in your hand perfectly. The SiC spacer rings and hard chrome snake guides give the rod low-friction saltwater performance.

    Distance

The Axiom II is a fast action stick and as such lacks power and accuracy at longer distances. While the Axiom II has an incredibly lightweight rod design, on longer ranges these things affect performance. It is a long shock absorber that protects lighter tippet near 90 deg to the pull of fish. The effective lever shortens at 45 deg and the bottom half has more power and allows anglers to put more pressure on a fish.
The tippet is heavy and it allows angles for fighting slight angles from 15 to 25 degrees. The bend is in the butt that is the most durable part of the TFO Axiom II rod. The A2 design is capable of accommodating all the three and enables you to choose when and how to apply pressure.

    Precision

The medium paced action of the stick encourages delicacy at close range and the Axiom II can deliver accurate flight almost every time out to 40 feet. This close-range accuracy makes the Axiom II an excellent choice for flatfish anglers.
However, the Axiom II loses some power, performance and accuracy at longer ranges. The shaft is too soft for accuracy beyond 60 feet and a line with a more aggressive front taper.

The Axiom II Fly Rod with case is available on the Fly Fishing Outfitters website at an affordable price. Anglers can order it online at the Fly Fishing Outfitters website and have it delivered to any location where the delivery services are available.

  • TFO Axiom A-2 Rod 4-P Green

    $379.95

The TFO AXIOM II-X fly fishing rod is made especially for big flies, heavy lines, and fish fighting. It comes with a cork grip that minimizes friction and a fighting butt that makes fish combat super easy for anglers. The alignment dots and recoil stripping guides help minimize the friction, and the chromium impregnates steel guides help you shoot heavy lines.

A double helix Kevlar blank design is used in the TFO Axiom II rod to offer high durability and lasting power. It comes with a softer butt section that is good for lifting power and throwing large flies at short and medium distances. This rod is best for fly lines with an aggressive front taper as they load it well for casts.

The TFO Axiom 2 fly rod weighs 3.49 ounces and has a swing weight of 92.6 gm2. The overall weight of the rod is less than the Axiom II. However, it is not the lightest fly rod in the market. The additional weight means more strength and power; both are the key qualities of a streamer stick fly rod.

Streamer fishing, when done on a boat, requires more accuracy, especially in short distances. If you want to row down a big river, it’s important for you to land the fly on the bank of every cast. The TFO Axiom II fly rod does the job perfectly and precisely at short distances.
The high performance for short-distance casting makes this fly rod an outstanding candidate for flats rods where the angler focuses on short and precise casts. This rod can be a great choice for anglers wading for bonefish. The rod has great tensile strength as it is made using high modulus fiber carbon and double helix Kevlar.

It features high-quality cork handles and uplocking reel seats made of anodized aluminum with carbon fiber inserts. The rod comes packaged in labeled rod sock and tube. It delivers high performance and efficiency while casting.

TFO has designed the Axiom 2 for fast action bordering with ultra-fast speed and for heavy lines. The Axiom II offers the required energy for both short and long-distance casting. It offers the right tracking and recovery that makes it precise at a distance. When you want a single but perfect long cast, the Axiom 2 is the perfect candidate for the job. The rod is available in three weight options and comes with a lifetime warranty. So, once you get it, you don’t need to worry about any manufacturing defects, and all you need is to see it performing while fly fishin
