Whether you choose a perch for bass, bonefish, rainbow trout or salmon, the Axiom II has a lot to offer you while fly fishing. The handle not only looks elegant, but also has a number of features that are particularly function-oriented. One of these features is the composite butt stock for durability.
This combat butt will stand up to wear and tear and help you out when playing with the big fish. There is a well-padded handle made of high quality cork that fits in your hand perfectly. The SiC spacer rings and hard chrome snake guides give the rod low-friction saltwater performance.
The Axiom II is a medium speed action stick and as such lacks power and accuracy at longer distances. While the Axiom II has an incredibly lightweight rod design, on longer ranges these things affect performance. It is a long shock absorber that protects lighter tippet near 90 deg to the pull of fish. The effective lever shortens at 45 deg and the bottom half has more power and allows anglers to put more pressure on a fish.
The tippet is heavy and it allows angles for fighting slight angles from 15 to 25 degrees. The bend is in the butt that is the most durable part of the TFO Axiom II rod. The A2 design is capable of accommodating all the three and enables you to choose when and how to apply pressure.
The medium paced action of the stick encourages delicacy at close range and the Axiom II can deliver accurate flight almost every time out to 40 feet. This close-range accuracy makes the Axiom II an excellent choice for flatfish anglers.
However, the Axiom II loses some power, performance and accuracy at longer ranges. The shaft is too soft for accuracy beyond 60 feet and a line with a more aggressive front taper.
The Axiom II Fly Rod with case is available on the Fly Fishing Outfitters website at an affordable price. Anglers can order it online at the Fly Fishing Outfitters website and have it delivered to any location where the delivery services are available.
