The Orvis Pro wading boot is specially designed for fly fishing as it offers best rubber traction while walking on wet surfaces. The sole of these boots are specially designed to provide effective grip while fishing on river banks and wet soil. These boots have a two layer midsole and a co-molded plate that offers enhanced stud retention and torsional stability.
The Michelin Extreme outsole offers 43% more wet rubber traction and 25% higher abrasion resistance than traditional boots. There is a lot of space in front of the boot, so even with thick socks and waterproof boots, you won’t feel cramps on your feet. Also note the Ortholite soles, which were created specifically for this boot.
The sole of this shoe offers high stability, a high ratio of surface contact and pattern to minimize the shock from the surface on which you walk. The Michelin tire geometry tread also aids in achieving better stability and pressure distribution. The midsole is made using shock absorption technology for improved terrain feel and less compression than the standard EVA midsole.
Orvis created the 3 dimensional molded X25 insole for use in high impact sports, games, and activities to offer maximum arch support and comfort. The PU casted upper portion of the Orvis Pro Wading boot has no seams, but a zoned cage to provide maximum grip on wet surfaces and abrasion resistance without adding weight of the shoes.
Orvis has given a higher cut to provide sufficient ankle support and it’s lined with closed cell foam. There is scratch rubber on the heel and toe cap to offer high abrasion resistance. Also, the oversized heel pulls are easy and convenient to get on and off. The laces of the shoes are tightly woven to minimize the chances of breakage.
The upper parts of these boots are made of quick-drying clarion microfiber so they can be used in wet conditions without any problems. The Orvis Pro wading boots are available in six sizes.
