Description

If you regularly go on fly fishing trips, the advanced Orvis Pro Boa Wading boot has got you covered. Wear the boots to cover maximum miles in water in a relaxed and comfortable manner. Equipped with the advanced Fit System, the boot has even tension across its body and will offer the perfect fit for you. For the first time, Orvis partnered with Michelin to create an exclusive outsole compound exclusively designed for fly fishing. The revolutionary sole design is a brand-new feature and offers the best wet rubber traction found in the industry.

The advanced outsole uses Michelin’s tire geometry, providing ideal stability through a wider footprint, a high surface contact ratio, better distribution of pressure, and reduced shock through a new lug pattern. Compared to competitor boots, the Michelin outsole provides almost 43% wet rubber traction improvement and almost 25% more resistance to abrasion. If you want to place additional studs, the boot has placements in strategic locations.

This Orvis wading boot has a high-density, 2-layer Phylon midsole, providing a requisite comfort-to-weight ratio and a co-molded ESS plate for torsional stability and better stud retention. Apart from Michelin, Orvis also collaborated with OrthoLite to build the X25 3D molded insole providing unmatched arch support and maximum comfort while wearing the boot. This advanced insole design makes the boot perfect for high-impact water sports in addition to fly fishing use.

The boot’s quick-dry upper made with Clarino microfiber provides a high strength-to-weight ratio ensuring the boot stays durable and long-lasting even after repeated use. The boot’s upper has a cast PU that reduces seams considerably. It offers added stability through a zoned cage providing abrasion resistance and elite grip without making the boot bulky and heavy. A high cut and closed cell foam lining improve ankle support while the heel and toe cap’s scratch rubber protect you from abrasion.

Easily wear and take off the boot thanks to its oversized heel and enjoy an even, secure fit through the Boa lacing system. These tightly-woven strong laces keep the boots in place and make sure you do not damage them easily. Along with the boot, you will get a replacement dial, tools, internals, one precut lace, and an instruction manual.

You need some extra volume while wearing a fly fishing wading boot, so keep in mind to order one size higher from your normal size. Another great thing is that the boot dries and drains really fast when you get in or out of your boat. You will surely love the fit, grip, and comfort offered by the Orvis Pro Boa Wading Boot, and it is certainly worth the price tag.

When sizing for wading boots, typically we like to start one size up from your normal shoe size.

This is to accomodate for the added volume needed when wearing waders.

    100% Worth It

These are a huge upgrade from using my old duck waders! Especially during hot days.
