EUROPEAN NYMPHING TECHNIQUES WORKSHOP

EUROPEAN NYMPHING TECHNIQUES WORKSHOP
Sunday Sept 1st & 2nd

Join us at FLY FISHING OUTFITTERS 9am Friday September 1st and 2nd  for a comprehensive workshop on the techniques of European/Modern Nymphing. The day’s events will be hosted by FFO guide Jason Lieverst.

About Jason Lieverst: Jason had been a competitor for over 25 years, and had captained his country at the highest international levels. Mr. Lieverst is also a master fly tier who now specializes in the art of tying competition flies at the production level. The course is designed for those who already have a firm knowledge of Fly fishing. Jason and his staff will be covering Equipment, rigging, fly selection, reading water and presentation all as part of a hands on experience.

What is European Nymphing: European nymphing is the technique that was used in the World Fly Fishing Championship’s which were held in the vail valley in Sept 2016. The systems and flies used in competition fishing are quite a bit different from traditional fly fishing. Longer, lighter rods, thinner, lighter fly lines, super thin tippet and of course SUPER heavy bugs are slowly creeping out of competitive anglings mysterious inner sanctum, and into the everyday anglers line up, and the same equipment is also finding its way into your ‘’regular’’ fly shop, why? BECAUSE IT WORKS!!!

Love it or hate it, competition style nymphing will greatly increase your catch rates, giving you more fish in the net, as well as larger, harder to catch fish also!

COST IS $375.00 PER ANGLER

9AM at FFO in Avon, next to Agave. What’s Included: Colorado Fishing License, Use of equipment and flies, Leaders and Tippets and Lunch at Agave (alcohol not included). Please bring your own wading gear and rod if you want.
