COLORADO FLY FISHING REPORTS FOR Week of January 6th. 2023 – VAIL, BEAVER CREEK CO.

Last Updated: January 6th.

Despite the great snow we have been receiving the fishing conditions are very good. We have been getting much warmer then average temperatures the last couple of weeks. There is tons of open water for this time of year. We are expecting more warmer weather the next 10 days, so even more river is going to open up. Nymphing Eggs, Midges and small Black Stones are the best option right now. Fish are holding in the deeper slower runs. The fishing this time of years is very productive if you know what’s going on in the river. That’s where the knowledgeable staff at FFO can be an indispensable source of information. Our friendly and knowledgeable guide staff is on call and ready to get you on the water. Call FFO 970-845-8090

FISH WITH THE LEGENDS!

Fall Fly-fishing in the heart of Colorado’s Rocky Mountains is about as good as it gets.  Cooler nights and warm days are great for the Trout. There are hatches of Midges and Blue Winged Olives. Stream fishing is also fantastic this time of year for the large predatory Browns. Fly Fishing Outfitters is the Vail valley’s 1997/2007 Orvis Outfitter of the Year. This year we will be celebrating 30 years in business. We would not be here today if it weren’t for the incredible staff of guides and shop managers, many of whom have been here since day one. Our passion is connecting people with nature through fly fishing. We provide every client with a top-notch experience. Whether they are a first-time angler or have been fishing for years, we will match them with a professional guide and guarantee a safe and fun day on the river. Our guides have over 300 years combined experience on local waters. This year we will also be home to the Orvis Fly-Fishing schools since 2010.

All of our Colorado fly fishing reports are updated from our guides. Who better to report on the fishing conditions than the guides that fish the waters daily
